Follow a round
- Choose a category. Start with All vibes or pick a genre, mood or decade. The available categories describe the song set for the round.
- Play the preview. The first listen reveals one second. Use the player skin's own play control. The Hear more control inside the player adds one second at a time up to ten seconds; Skip song ends the current round without a reward.
- Pick the exact song. Choose one of eight answers. Each option shows a title and artist; the artist alone is not enough. Selecting an answer submits it immediately.
- Read the result. The result shows the correct track and whether the choice was right. After about three seconds the next round starts automatically. Runs have ten rounds and can continue automatically into another run.
What counts as correct?
The title and artist must match the answer shown by the game. A different song by the same artist is still a wrong answer. Wrong answers and skipped songs earn no coins. A skip moves on without submitting an answer; it is useful when a clip cannot be identified, but it cannot earn the round's reward.
Coin rewards: a signed-in profile earns 20 coins for a correct answer in a real round. Guests, demo rounds, wrong answers and skips earn zero. The server checks the result and prevents the same round from paying twice.
Profiles, coins and skins
You can play without creating a profile. A profile saves your earned coins and lets you unlock cosmetic player skins. The leaderboard ranks profiles by all coins earned, so spending coins on a skin does not lower your rank. The Today board counts coins earned during the current UTC day; All time uses the full earned history.
Orbit Pocket is the free default player. Every skin has three controls: Play or Pause, Skip 1 second to reveal one more second of the preview, and Skip song to move on. The clip can grow up to ten seconds. A skin does not change the answer rules or coin reward.
When audio does not play
- Check the device volume and whether the browser tab is muted. Start audio with a direct press of the player control.
- Wait a moment for the preview to load. A slow or interrupted network connection can delay playback.
- Try another round. Music previews depend on the provider and may be unavailable for an individual song or temporarily unavailable more broadly.
- If the controls appear stuck, reload the page and try again. Your guest round may restart.
If a provider preview is unavailable, a clearly labelled demo uses a synthesized practice melody rather than a real song recording. Demo answers do not earn coins.
